Team docs

If your team doesn't go to your docs, bring your docs to your team

If your team doesn’t go to your docs, bring your docs to your team.

When I discovered Notion I immediately loved it. It made it too easy to organize everything in one place.

So I used it to store all our internal docs, guides and SOPs in a big, well structured wiki.

But I kept getting the same simple questions from our devs.

Me: “Have you searched the docs?”

Them: “Uh… where can I find those again?”

Then, tired of sharing the same links over and over again, I moved the docs to our codebase.

Our devs loved it, AI gained access too and I started receiving better questions.

I moved design docs to a Figma file, sales learnings to the CRM… you get the idea.

Having a single source of truth doesn’t mean that everything has to be in one single place, it means that everyone agrees where the source is.

PS: If you still want a company-wide reference, you can treat Notion as an index that links to all the other files.

Know someone who'd like this?
